Wafeq Listed as an E-Invoicing Service Provider by the UAE Ministry of Finance

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wafeq Named a Pre-Approved Service Provider for UAE E-Invoicing by the Ministry of Finance

Accounting platform moves through final accreditation assessment as the UAE's e-invoicing mandate brings compliance requirements to every business in the country

Dubai, UAE — September 9, 2026 — Wafeq, the cloud accounting and financial operations platform for the GCC, today announced that the UAE Ministry of Finance has listed Wafeq as a Pre-Approved Service Provider (ASP) for e-invoicing and is now moving through final accreditation assessment.

What the Mandate Means for UAE Businesses

The listing comes as the UAE prepares to roll out mandatory e-invoicing in phases. Businesses with annual revenue above AED 50 million must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by 30 October 2026 and go live by 1 January 2027. All other businesses must appoint a provider by 31 March 2027, with go-live on 1 July 2027.

For most UAE businesses, the mandate raises a practical question beyond compliance: does e-invoicing require adopting an entirely separate product alongside the accounting software they already use, or can it be handled within the platform they already use to run their books?

One Platform, Not Two

Wafeq's approach keeps e-invoicing inside the same platform businesses use for their ledger, invoicing, and VAT filing, rather than requiring a separate contract, vendor relationship, and bill. The company's inclusion on the Ministry of Finance's list reflects progress toward full accreditation under the UAE's e-invoicing framework, which relies on the Peppol five-corner model and the PINT AE data standard.

Our goal has always been to give UAE businesses one platform for everything finance-related — accounting, invoicing, VAT, and now e-invoicing — instead of forcing them to stitch together multiple tools. Wafeq is the only local solution that's both a Peppol-accredited and MOF-listed service provider and your accounting software. No third parties, all native, all local — Nadim Alameddine, CEO at Wafeq
