1. The All-New Consolidated Reports Experience

We’ve given our Consolidated Financial Statements a massive upgrade in both design and functionality. Say goodbye to limitations and hello to a unified, comprehensive view of your entire business across all branches and organizations.

Available for our Premium users, you can now seamlessly generate:

  • Consolidated Income Statement: Get a bird's-eye view of your combined revenues, expenses, and profitability.
  • Consolidated Cash Flow Statement: Track liquidity and cash flow trends across your entire portfolio in one place.
  • Consolidated Balance Sheet: Assess your overall financial health, assets, and liabilities at any specific point in time.

How we made consolidation smarter:

  • Unified Reporting: No more switching tabs. View all your data in one single, beautifully designed report.
  • Smart Account Merging: Accounts sharing the same name, code, and type (e.g., "Operating Expenses - 604") are automatically combined into a single, clean line item.
  • Automated Currency Conversion: Operating in multiple currencies? Wafeq automatically converts amounts to the report’s base currency using the exchange rate on the last day of the selected period.
  • Visual Organization Indicators: Handy colored icons let you easily identify which organizations contributed transactions to specific accounts.

You maintain full control over who sees what. You can manually select which organizations to consolidate (based on your access permissions) right from the Select organizations menu.

2. The "Peek" Feature: Instant Context, Zero Clicks

Ever looked at a number on a P&L and wondered, "What exactly makes up this total?" Previously, you had to navigate away to a new page to dig into the transactions. Now, simply hover your mouse over any figure in your P&L or Consolidated Income Statement! An information box will instantly appear showcasing the top 5 largest transactions contributing to that number—complete with dates, descriptions, and amounts.

The Benefit: It saves you precious time and is an absolute game-changer when reviewing financials live with business owners or stakeholders.

3. Smarter, Cleaner Report Exports

We’ve refined how your reports look when you take them out of Wafeq, ensuring they are perfectly tailored for their destination:

  • PDF Exports Account codes are now automatically excluded. Since these codes are primarily for internal accounting, removing them makes your PDF reports cleaner and much more presentable for external stakeholders.
  • Excel Exports We’ve placed account codes in their own dedicated column. Even better, accounts are now grouped natively in Excel, allowing you to collapse top-level accounts for a beautifully organized spreadsheet easily.

Say goodbye to being restricted to monthly ranges! We’ve completely reworked the date range picker across all reports, allowing you to select exact, specific dates for your reporting periods.

5. Customize Your Report View: Reorder, Freeze, and Hide Columns

Everyone analyzes data differently, which is why we are giving you the flexibility to customize how your reports look. You can now tailor your workspace by reordering and freezing columns in supported reports, making it much easier to compare data as you scroll horizontally.

What you need to know:

  • Total Control: hide the data you don't need, drag columns into your preferred order, and freeze key metrics in place. This makes comparing numbers across wide tables much easier and significantly reduces scrolling fatigue.

Note:

This is available on specific reports where flexibility makes sense. Fixed-format reports, like the P&L, will retain their standardized columns to ensure accuracy.

  • A Cleaner General Ledger (GL) We’ve made the General Ledger highly customizable! You can now hide almost all columns. In fact, to reduce clutter and keep things simple, all new organizations will have hideable columns turned off by default. You only see what you truly need.

  • Mobile Friendly Reviewing reports on the go? While freezing and reordering are designed for the desktop experience, mobile users can still easily show or hide columns to keep their screens clean and focused.

6. New Feature: Direct WhatsApp Integration

Does your company rely on WhatsApp as a primary channel for sharing documents? When employees or suppliers send receipts and invoices through chat, it’s incredibly easy for those documents to get lost in the shuffle or be recorded late.

We are changing that! Our new WhatsApp Integration allows you to send purchase bills and expense receipts directly from WhatsApp to your organization’s account in Wafeq. The documents will automatically appear in your Inbox, ready to be converted without any manual data entry.

How does WhatsApp Integration work?

With this integration, WhatsApp becomes a direct, secure input channel into your accounting system. Here is how simple it is:

1. Verify Your Number (Prerequisite) First, ensure your phone number is added to your Wafeq account. Go to My Account and check if the status is "Verified." If not, click Verify to receive a One-Time Password (OTP) and complete the setup.

2. Send a Document via WhatsApp From your verified number, open WhatsApp and send your file (such as a PDF expense receipt) to our dedicated Wafeq number: 966115103390.

3. Smart Routing The system will process the file instantly. If your number is linked to multiple organizations, you will be prompted to select the correct one.

Pro tip:

  • You can type "switch" or the organization name in the chat to change the current organization.
  • Or type "language" to change your interaction language.

4. Convert in a Click You will receive a confirmation message with a direct link. Head over to your Inbox In Wafeq, you will see the document tagged as received from WhatsApp. Then click Create Expense or Create Bill.
