1. Customer Balance Summary Report

Customer Balance Summary Report: A Clear Snapshot of Customer Financial Position

Wafeq introduces a new report: Customer Balance Summary, with a corresponding Supplier version that works in the same way. The report is accessible from the Reports page under the Sales column. It opens in a clean, sheet-style layout designed for clarity and quick review.

The Customer Balance Summary Report is a structured financial overview that presents each customer’s opening balance, total debits, total credits, and closing balance within a selected period — all in one consolidated view.

It enables finance teams, CFOs, and business owners to instantly assess receivables exposure, monitor outstanding balances, and identify movements within customer accounts without navigating through multiple reports. Instead of switching between aging reports, transaction lists, and summaries, decision-makers gain immediate visibility into customer financial positions in a single, clean interface.

For growing businesses, this level of clarity translates into faster follow-ups, stronger credit control, improved cash flow management, and more confident decision-making.

What the Report Includes The table displays:

  • Customer Name
  • Opening Balance
  • Debit
  • Credit
  • Closing Balance

All figures are automatically filtered based on the selected period, which can be adjusted directly above the table. Changing the date range instantly refreshes the data.

  • Drill-Down Capability Each value in the report is clickable. Selecting any amount opens the Aging Receivable Detail Report, automatically filtered for that specific customer. This allows finance teams to move from summary-level insight to transaction-level detail in one click — without manual filtering or navigation.
  • Customizable Columns Using the Edit Columns button, users can show or hide optional columns such as:
  • Opening Balance
  • Debit
  • Credit

This flexibility allows teams to tailor the report view based on their review needs or management requirements.

  • Export Options The report can be exported to PDF or Excel, in both English and Arabic, supporting reporting requirements for internal review or external sharing.

2. Management Reports – Consolidated Financial Statements in One PDF

Three Core Financial Statements in One File

Wafeq introduces a new Management Reports feature that combines three essential financial statements into a single, structured PDF:

  • Profit and Loss.
  • Cash Flow Statement.
  • Balance Sheet.

Instead of generating each report separately, finance teams can now produce a unified management-ready document in one step. From a leadership perspective, this feature supports faster reporting cycles, structured board packs, and streamlined internal reviews — particularly valuable during month-end closing or executive reporting.

  • Where to Access It The Management Reports option is available on the Reports page under the Financial Statements column. When opened, a configuration panel appears on the right-hand side of the screen.
  • Report Configuration Options These options mirror the flexibility available in each standalone report, ensuring consistency while centralizing output. Before generating the report, users can define:
  • The reporting period.
  • The report currency.
  • The breakdown format (by month or by year)
  • Generate and Preview Once the parameters are selected, clicking Generate Report compiles the three financial statements into one PDF file. When ready:
  • The PDF loads in the central workspace for preview.
  • A Download PDF button becomes available.

If any financial data is updated, users can select Regenerate to refresh the document and download the most recent version. This ensures that management always receives an updated, synchronized financial pack without repetitive manual preparation.

3. Bulk Supplier Bill Upload with AI Processing

Wafeq introduces a new way to record supplier bills in bulk, eliminating the need to upload invoices one at a time. Instead of using the traditional Upload Bill button for each document, finance teams can now drag and drop multiple files directly onto the main Bills page.

This enhancement significantly reduces manual effort during high-volume periods and supports more efficient accounts payable operations.

  • Real-Time AI Processing As soon as files are dropped into the system:
  • A background job drawer opens at the bottom right.
  • Each bill is uploaded and analyzed by AI.
  • Extracted data is saved automatically as a draft.

The bills list updates in real time as the system processes each file.

This structured workflow provides visibility into progress while automation handles document reading and data extraction.

  • Smart Status Classification Once processing is complete, bills are categorized based on extraction accuracy:
  • Bills that were fully extracted appear under the To Authorize tab.
  • Bills that require additional information appear under the To Complete tab.

This classification allows finance teams to focus only on exceptions rather than reviewing every document manually.

  • Bulk Authorization After reviewing drafts, users can apply bulk actions in the To Authorize tab to authorize multiple bills at once.

For finance teams managing dozens or hundreds of supplier invoices, this capability reduces processing time, minimizes repetitive tasks, and strengthens operational efficiency during month-end or high-transaction periods.

4. Download Multiple Invoice PDFs at Once

Bulk Invoice PDF Download and Faster Customer Documentation

Wafeq now allows users to download multiple invoice PDFs in one action — a practical enhancement for finance teams that regularly share customer documentation.

This feature is currently available for invoices and can be accessed from both the sheet view and table view within the invoice list. Instead of opening and downloading each invoice individually, users can now generate a consolidated ZIP file in just a few clicks.

How It Works

  1. Select the invoices using the checkbox on the left.
  2. Once selected, the bulk action bar appears at the top.
  3. Click Download PDF.

A background job drawer opens in the bottom-right corner, indicating that the PDFs are being generated. The process runs in the background, allowing users to continue working or even leave the page while the system completes the task.

  • Smart Validation Only valid invoices are included in the generated ZIP file. If selected invoices contain missing or incomplete data (flagged with an amber warning icon), those invoices are automatically excluded from the file. This ensures that only compliant, complete documents are downloaded. Once processing is complete, the ZIP file becomes available for direct download from the job drawer.

For finance teams handling large customer bases, this enhancement reduces administrative workload, supports faster document sharing, and improves responsiveness to client requests.

Quick Search Enhancement: Faster Access to Statements of Account

Wafeq has enhanced the Quick Search dialogue to make it easier and faster to access a Statement of Account for any account in the system.

For finance professionals, speed matters — especially when responding to management questions, reconciliation needs, or audit requests. This update reduces navigation time and provides immediate access to detailed account activity.

The Quick Search dialogue opens instantly by:

  • Press Command + P (Mac)
  • Or Control + P (Windows)

Smart Search Capabilities Users can search by:

  • Account name.
  • Account code.
  • Even a partial word or number.

For example:

  • Typing “office” shows the Office Supplies account.
  • Typing “600” brings up the same account by code.

Matching results clearly indicate that selecting them would open the Statement of Account.

  • Direct Navigation with Preserved Filters Clicking the result takes you directly to the Statement of Account page, already filtered for the selected account. The date range automatically uses the last selected period on the Statement of Account page, ensuring continuity in review. Users can adjust the date range as needed for further analysis.

This enhancement streamlines investigation workflows, accelerates reconciliations, and supports faster financial analysis without manual report navigation.

Driving Smarter Financial Operations

These updates reflect Wafeq’s broader product vision: building an accounting system that goes beyond record-keeping and actively supports financial leadership.

From consolidated management reporting to AI-powered bill processing and structured receivables visibility, each enhancement is designed around three core principles:

  • Clarity in financial data.
  • Efficiency in daily workflows.
  • Control across financial operations.

Rather than adding complexity, Wafeq focuses on reducing friction — shortening month-end cycles, minimizing manual work, and enabling faster access to decision-critical information.

As businesses scale, finance teams require more than accounting software. They need structured reporting, automated processing, and intelligent navigation that supports proactive financial management.
