Multi-entity accounting
Run every company in your group from one place, and consolidate in minutes
Keep separate books for each company, with its own currency, VAT registration and users. Then get a consolidated P&L for the whole group, with intercompany eliminations done for you.
Features
Each company on its own, the group as one
Run every organization separately, then bring them together in a consolidation group.
One login for every company
Each organization has its own books, currency, VAT registration and users. Switch between them from the organization switcher, or keep several open side by side in browser tabs: each tab stays on its own organization.
Set up the group once
Add the member organizations and the date each one counts from, and choose the group's presentation currency. A member can keep its own currency: its books are translated, and exchange differences post to an exchange gain or loss account.
See the whole group in one P&L
The consolidated P&L marks which members each line comes from, with a tab for the eliminations and one for each member. Preview a month with its draft eliminations before you post it.
How it works
Close the group month by month
Each month, run eliminations, review the differences, and post.
Readiness
See each member's own lock for the month. You can post while a member is still open, but its figures may change.
Reconcile
Check the intercompany amounts each rule matched, and pick a pair to see the member lines behind it.
Review journal
The run creates three elimination journals: balances and equity, cash flow, and P&L.
Adjustments & post
Add any adjustments, then post. The month moves from Not run to Posted, and can then be locked.
Built for groups
Consolidate without touching member books
Consolidation works on top of each company's books, never inside them.
- Separate books for every company, each with its own currency, VAT registration and users
- Intercompany transactions matched automatically through intercompany contacts
- Eliminations post to the group ledger, not to member books
Elimination rules
Tell Wafeq once what to eliminate
Your rules run every month, so each close starts from the same setup.
Intercompany transactions
Sales and purchases between members are matched through intercompany contacts: the contacts in each member's books that stand for another member. Differences up to the threshold you set post to the account you choose.
Investment and equity
The parent's investment in a subsidiary is eliminated against the subsidiary's share capital and reserves, and the difference goes to goodwill. For a subsidiary you partly own, the share you don't own goes to non-controlling interest.
Intercompany balances
What members owe each other is eliminated pair by pair: receivables and payables, shareholder loans and dividends. Revenue and expenses between members, such as management fees and interest on group loans, net out too.
Consolidated P&L
Read the group's numbers your way
Every consolidated figure traces back to the members it came from.
Member markers on every line
Small colored markers show which members each account comes from.
A tab for every view
Switch between Consolidated, Eliminations and each member, or compare members side by side.
Preview with draft eliminations
See a month with its draft eliminations before you post, with a clear note while figures may still change.
Trends and export
Monthly columns and a trend for every account, ready to export.
Monthly close
Review every difference before you post
Reconcile shows what each rule matched and what's left: settled pairs out of the way, one-sided items and differences up front.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions
No. Each organization keeps its own books, currency, VAT registration and users. Consolidation reads their books and posts eliminations to a separate group ledger, so member books never change.
Yes. The group has a presentation currency, and each member can keep its own. A member's figures are translated into the presentation currency, and exchange differences post to the exchange gain or loss account you choose.
Whatever your elimination rules cover: sales and purchases between members, the parent's investment against the subsidiary's equity, and balances between members, such as receivables and payables, loans and dividends. Revenue and expenses between members, like management fees and interest, net out too.
Reconcile shows each pair as settled, as a difference or as one-sided. Differences up to the threshold you set post to your difference account; larger differences and one-sided pairs stay in the residual for you to review.
Yes. Readiness shows each member's own lock for the month. You can post while a member is open, but its figures may still change, and the consolidated P&L flags the months whose eliminations aren't posted yet.
Set its ownership in the group, for example 80%. The investment and equity rule then posts the share you don't own to the non-controlling interest account.
